Director of Process Engineering

The Director of Process Engineering will set the strategic direction for the Process Engineering function across our Syracuse Corporate facility. This individual will manage a team of 35+ Engineers and Technicians in support of a $100M+ growing business by developing and implementing strategies to maintain and expand our world class manufacturing and assembly process capabilities. Translating customer needs into proven operational capabilities, in support of the timely introduction and ramp-up of new products, while achieving high levels of quality, employee safety, reliability and first pass yield will be one of the most important aspects of this role. The Process Engineering Director will lead continuous process improvement initiatives while coordinating efforts with other support organizations, including but not limited to Quality, Manufacturing, Design Engineering, Materials and Supply Chain. He/She will establish, monitor and meet the broad site level goals for safety, quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and cost reduction which support the annual operating plan. Establishing appropriate organizational structures and ensuring the necessary talent/expertise is in place to meet the department goals and business growth objectives, is also one of the critical aspects of this role. The ideal candidate has a proven ability to create an environment where employees are motivated and rewarded for achieving high levels of performance.

Sr. Project Manager for New Product Development

The Sr. Project Manager for New Product Development will ensure projects will meet design performance requirements (internal & customer), business goals, and schedule. The ideal candidate has proven experience in providing direction, leadership and development of and for assigned staff, which may include direct reports and/or other assigned resources.

Sr. Electrical Engineer

The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for system level definition of hardware and software/firmware requirements for military and space based products. He/She will oversee the implementation from concept, through design, development and test, to final product delivery. The Sr. Electrical Engineer will conduct research, analysis and detailed design reviews, and provide recommendations to improve implementation.  This position requires direct customer interaction to develop requirements, present design reviews, and provide support to resolve problems. The Sr. RF/Microwave Design Engineer will design and evaluate active RF components, sub-systems, and integrated microwave assemblies using chip and wire, PWB SMT, as well as advanced packaging techniques for military applications. The ideal candidate will lead the design in this technology.

Parts, Materials & Process Engineer

The Parts, Materials & Process Engineer is responsible for assuring that all aspects of program requirements are addressed and met through the design, and manufacturing stages. Individuals must be capable of working independently and as part of a design team where they contribute by understanding and communicating customer requirements related to the selection of electrical components, metallic and non-metallic materials, and processes to the design team. This position works under the supervision of other engineers. Typical tasks include data collection, data formatting, executing test plans, generating technical reports, performing analyses, data table maintenance, and drawing generation. Other tasks may be assigned based on business needs. Must be capable of managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Component Engineer

The Component Engineer identifies and develops new sources of supply for non-mainstream electronic components. The ideal candidate will support new product development activity in a timely fashion by anticipating supply challenges (availability, critical performance attributes and pricing) and will proactively identify and resolve those challenges or will recommend alternative supplier and/or components. Conducting detailed supplier analyses, including capability studies for prototyping to production, total cost analysis by commodity, cost of quality trends, the Component Engineer will spearhead the process of developing and managing supplier relationships and cost improvement efforts. An essential element of this role will be to lead structured problem solving teams to proactively promote and contribute to continuous supplier improvement and a lower total cost solution within the supply chain. 

This position also requires the ability to work on Defense and Satellite programs subject to ITAR regulations, therefore candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident (‘Green Card’).

6+ years of relevant experience required.
