Electrical Engineer
If you are graduating this upcoming May, with a degree in Electrical Engineering, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to develop, implement and test hardware functions/systems, the interactions between them as well as the interactions with users and environment. This individual will take outlines and proposes specific implementations and/or detailed instructions. The ideal candidate will research, analyze and optimize hardware functionality and will provide implementations and/or recommendations. The Electrical Engineer may interact with customers directly and under guidance to provide specific application support or troubleshooting/recommendation. Must be eligible to work on defense and other programs subject to ITAR regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card).
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, following an outlined direction and established design procedures:
- Development of product
- Ownership of product, cradle to grave, support engineering and production as necessary
- Application specific functionality
- Documenting of products, data sheets, product functionality, test procedures and user guides
- Producing detailed procedures
- Converting an outlined direction into specific directions
- Testing to support development and design of product:
- Prototype and pre-production product performance
- Pre-certification testing
- Qualification testing
- Optimize product performance
- Ability to bunch test, work with and assist engineering technicians
- Documentation of results
- Providing outlined test requirements and leading test efforts
- Analysis to support development, design and optimization of thermal analysis, worst case stress analysis, products and processes:
- Repeatability analysis of product, fixtures, processes
- Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Documentation of correlations and trends
- Providing outlined analysis requirements and leading analysis efforts
- Work with project management to set time expectations and to identify risks
- Work in compliance with document control systems, including revision and source control
- Guide and mentor testers and technicians
- Listen to and understand customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action that exceeds expectations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Ability to take an outlined direction and turn it into specific development of product or support functionality
- Ability to convey methods and recommendations/reasons to customers
- Excellent problem solving skills and the tenacity to produce the best possible solution to a problem
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- PC skills, basic electrical modeling understanding, basic thermal modeling understanding
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree - Electrical or Computer Engineering
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience
